IRISH SETTERS – PET PORTRAITS

I use pastel pencils to create a realistic Irish Setter portrait. The colours are vibrant and using the highest quality brands such as Stabilo, Caran d’Ache, Cretacolor, Derwent and Faber-Castell your portrait will certainly stand the test of time and create a memorable gift or keepsake.

All commissions are created on Clairfontaine Pastelmat either card or board, it is a wonderful surface and comes in a variety of colours.

These fun-loving dogs are just brilliant, not only for their vibrant red coat, but also for their athleticism, grace, and enthusiasm for… well just about everything really! When you live with an Irish Setter, you can be assured of having a happy, friendly companion who’s always ready to play, take up the whole sofa or sit on your lap if you dare think that you might think that you also might need a bit of sofa time.

We have owned setters for a few years now and I never grow tired of sketching and creating pet portraits for our own walls. The beautiful coat, mischievous sparkle in their eyes and the absolute love they give make them a beautiful subject to work on.
